Meet The Team: Heyi 赫奕

Hi everyone, my name is Heyi 赫奕. I am from Beijing, China. I first came to the UK in 2016 and have finished my master's in London. I used to work as a Key Stage 2 English teacher in Beijing. I enjoy teaching children and love using stories and songs in particular to inspire them to fall in love with a foreign language.

I am a huge fan of cultures. I’ve made friends with people from all over the world during my time at uni. I often introduce Chinese traditions and customs to them while inviting them to try out a variety of delicious Chinese food. Meanwhile, I also enjoy learning about their cultures and tasting authentic cuisines from their country.  

As a language enthusiast myself, I deeply believe in the power of language. I wish to contribute to the cultural communication between the UK and China and I am very excited to help more kids explore the beauty of Mandarin.
