Our Privacy Policy describes how Mando School Ltd (“Mando School”, “we”, “us”, “our”) processes personal data when using our services.

The GDPR legislation protects the unlawful processing of personal data to strengthen and protect the rights of users.

Mando School collects two types of information, “Non-Personal Information” and “Personal Information.”

Personal Information

​At Mando School, we hold data on file for each client and related project. This data contains information that you have submitted to us or we have had to obtain in order for us to carry out our Consultancy Services.

We also require Personal Information for accounting purposes.

Personal Information also includes your contact information, which you submit to us through the contact section of the website.

​Non-Personal Information

We collect non-personal digital data when you visit our website and social media platforms.

Non-Personal Information includes information that cannot be used to personally identify you, such as anonymous usage data, general demographic information we may collect, referring/ exit pages and URLs, platform types, preferences you submit and preferences that are generated based on the data you submit and number of clicks.

We mainly use Non-Personal Information in the form of Cookies to help us improve, track trends and analyse user patterns on our website. Cookies enable Mando School to analyse website traffic and to see which areas of the website you have visited.

Mando School uses personal data collected to operate services on instruction of clients.

Mando School may forward your Personal Information to third parties that have been employed by us to undertake work on our behalf. We require companies to comply fully with the GDPR legalisation.

Personal Information you provide to us is also used to help us communicate with you. For example, we use Personal Information to contact users in response to questions and inform users about our services.

Mando School will not sell, trade, rent or otherwise share for marketing purposes your Personal Information with third parties without your consent. We do share Personal Information with vendors who are performing services for the Company, such as the servers for our email communications who are provided access to users email address for purposes of sending emails from us. Those vendors use your personal information only at our direction and in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Mando School will only continue to store Personal Information if under requirements of the case, project or contract. After a case is completed we will continue to store Personal Information for a maximum of five years. We undertake additional security measures to destroy Personal Information.

As part of the Service, we may provide links to or compatibility with other websites or applications. However, we are not responsible for the privacy practices employed by those websites or the information or content they contain. This Privacy Policy applies solely to information collected by us through our website and the service. Therefore, this Privacy Policy does not apply to your use of a third party website accessed by selecting a link on our Site or via our Service. To the extent that you access or use the Service through or on another website or application, then the privacy policy of that other website or application will apply to your access or use of that site or application. Our data is solely stored within the United Kingdom, on well-known Cloud based systems, our Website software programmes as well as our website Hosting systems.

ONLINE SAFEGUARDING POLICY

​Mando School works with children and families as part of its activities. These include: teaching Mandarin Chinese online to Children and offline in schools and nurseries.

​The purpose of this policy statement is to:

  •  ensure the safety and wellbeing of children and young people is paramount when adults, young people or children are using the internet, social media or mobile devices
  •  provide staff and volunteers with the overarching principles that guide our approach to online safety
  •  ensure that, as an organisation, we operate in line with our values and within the law in terms of how we use online devices.

WE BELIEVE THAT:
  •  children and young people should never experience abuse of any kind
  •  children should be able to use the internet for education and personal development, but safeguards need to be in place to ensure they are kept safe at all times.

WE RECOGNISE THAT:
  •  the online world provides everyone with many opportunities; however it can also present risks and challenges
  •  we have a duty to ensure that all children, young people and adults involved in our organisation are protected from potential harm online
  •  we have a responsibility to help keep children and young people safe online, whether or not they are using Mando School network and devices
  •  all children, regardless of age, disability, gender reassignment, race, religion or belief, sex or sexual orientation, have the right to equal protection from all types of harm or abuse
  •  working in partnership with children, young people, their parents, carers and other agencies is essential in promoting young people’s welfare and in helping young people to be responsible in their approach to online safety.

We will seek to keep children and young people safe by:

  •  providing clear and specific directions to staff and volunteers on how to behave online through our behaviour code for adults
  •  supporting and encouraging the young people using our service to use the internet, social media and mobile phones in a way that keeps them safe and shows respect for others
  •  supporting and encouraging parents and carers to do what they can to keep their children safe online
  •  developing an online safety agreement for use with young people and their parents/carers
  •  developing clear and robust procedures to enable us to respond appropriately to any incidents of inappropriate online behaviour, whether by an adult or a child/young person
  • reviewing and updating the security of our information systems regularly
  •  ensuring that user names, logins, email accounts and passwords are used effectively
  •  ensuring personal information about the adults and children who are involved in our organisation is held securely and shared only as appropriate
  •  ensuring that images of children, young people and families are used only after their written permission has been obtained, and only for the purpose for which consent has been given
  •  providing supervision, support and training for staff and volunteers about online safety
  •  examining and risk assessing any social media platforms and new technologies before they are used within the organisation.

If online abuse occurs, we will respond to it by:
  •  having clear and robust safeguarding procedures in place for responding to abuse (including online abuse)
  •  providing support and training for all staff and volunteers on dealing with all forms of abuse, including bullying/cyberbullying, emotional abuse, sexting, sexual abuse and sexual exploitation
  •  making sure our response takes the needs of the person experiencing abuse, any bystanders and our organisation as a whole into account
  •  reviewing the plan developed to address online abuse at regular intervals, in order to ensure that any problems have been resolved in the long term.
